    Thank you all I am so glad I joined this ... would it be OK for me to post more pics tomo to identify as some could be weeds?? The lady before me used the space for a herb garden. I have lavender and chives ...but there are other plants I do not have a clue about...thank you all image

    The top one is lychnis coronaria - a short lived perennial which self seeds freely.   A white flowered form is also available and if you plant them near each other you get interesting babies.

    The second is nigella/Love in the Mist - an annual which also self seeds freely if it's happy.   Doesn't like my very fertile alkaline loam.

    Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
