Thank you all I am so glad I joined this ... would it be OK for me to post more pics tomo to identify as some could be weeds?? The lady before me used the space for a herb garden. I have lavender and chives ...but there are other plants I do not have a clue about...thank you all
The top one is lychnis coronaria - a short lived perennial which self seeds freely. A white flowered form is also available and if you plant them near each other you get interesting babies.
The second is nigella/Love in the Mist - an annual which also self seeds freely if it's happy. Doesn't like my very fertile alkaline loam.

The White one is love in the mist, beautiful. Cannot wait for mine this year
