Plant ID please

hello everyone, can anyone help Id this plant I have at the front of the border. Very floppy type of plant. Brother in law says type of geranium?? Was looking quite good until I pulled out all spent  myosotis that was obviously holding it up nicely image. Can anyone recommend anything else to grow through it and support it again..thankyou. image

    I think that might be a pink potentilla. It's slightly different to the usual ones as it's more herbaceous rather than woody. I used to have one years ago but I didn't like the colour. image

    I agree with Fairygirl. I have one with dark red flowers. It is a bit floppy. I use a hoop to hold it up but you can usually see that it's supported because it's at the front of the border.

    I say potentilla too, I've got a peachy colour one and find it will happily scramble through other plants in the border for support.

    Edit: Maybe give an idea of your prefered colour scheme for best companion suggestions.

    You are so right!! I put that plant in about 5 years ago and I remember now that it had a potentilla label. My brother in law was very sure it wasnt that family and more geranium like so I had always assumed I had the wrong label in pot from start! I really must stop listening to him! image In the nicest possible way of course! Thank you all so much for jogging my memory!
