Dead east in well drained soil. In fact too easy, It suckers all over the place if suited.

Hi image yes it is new to me and planted last year, love it! Not had problems with suckers yet!

  • Thanks, I have some small ones growing now in our school wildlife garden. Should I plant them close together?

Does it do well in pots?

Never tried them in pots, think almost everything hardy is better in the soil. They do make quire big spreads eventually. They need pruning in very early Spring, I cut ours almost to the ground in February/March, if I remember.
