Do I deadhead my kniphofia red hot poker please?

Hello silver light I dead head mine but it doesn't re flower, this year I'm just going to leave it to see what happens. Everything is trial and error for me.. mostly error lol.
I'd also be keen to know how to deal with red hot poker....I just gave mine a good chop to get rid of the dead leaves during early spring, no idea if this was a good idea or not!
I've just googled it, your right hosta, chop all old green to encourage new, flowers are long lasting but don't return same year, cut spent flower and its whole stem to keep tidy.
Sorry I ment to say dew drops, was busy pulling the slugs off my hostas a minute ago ?
Well I never, my guess work turned out to be the correct thing to do- that doesn't happen very often, thanks R Star!
My red hot pokers reflowered once after deadheading last year, but there is no sign of their doing it again this year.
