A couple if years ago I pulled up about 25 ranunculous as they were bright cerise pink and clashed with my colour scheme and were driving me mad.
I went to great effort to source some very pale baby pink replacements the following year but despite the picture on the pack the new ones have been the exact same bright cerise pink every year since. I must have got more relaxed as I've left them now.
I'm so glad i'm not the only one MM! I got rid of poor Mrs Bradshaw (orangy red geum) because it was not quite right... I potted them up and they're now in someone else's garden where they can be appreciated. I also pulled out two rose campions for the same reason, although i've seen them in other gardens and i really like them... Argh! I need to find somewhere where they are not going to clash! And i found a few seedlings so i can have another go...
