Horse-Tail

After 2 years trying to clear my block paving of this weed I think I'v cracked it. Dig out as much as possible with a slim bladed tool and spray hole with "oven cleaner" amazing results. Remember to dispose of any weed bits, this plant spreads like wildfire.

Hmmm. I've posted on the other thread you posted on. It's really not advisable to recommend a product like this for getting rid of weeds of any kind. A lot of damage to the surrounding soil is inevitable as it will kill all the beneficial organisms in it. image

Using a proprietary weedkiller after bruising the stems will do the job. Repeat applications will no doubt be needed, but that's part and parcel of gardening. Vigilance too, to keep on top of it.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

This method is strictly for paths where the soil is not to important, anyway it works

  • Could you suggest me names of some good weedkillers?

The torches are good for annuals, and they will also fry seeds near the surface. But I think their greatest appeal is the satisfaction you get in burning weeds image
