Can anyone help with identifying this plant?
It has flowers similar to a Clematis but the plant is upright and about 2 feet tall. The stems and flowers emerge from pairs of leaves, as can be seen in the photo. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

It looks like a clematis integrifolia.
Thank-you Ceres. Just looked at the RHS website and that's exactly what it is.
