Brambles

I have a massive amount of brambles I need to reduce. A lot of them are where my bees are but they are starting to encroach and have got beyond my ability to hack them back. What is the friendliest herbicide I could use? Don't really want to do this tbh but it's getting beyond a joke. I'm sure there's a castle in there somewhere, I can hear snoring...

please don't recommend Roundup. The smell makes me sick and stays with me for days :-(

SBK Brushwood killer?  It's what I would use - good luck image

SBK would probably do the job.

Pity you don't like Roundup - I've just cleared an area 40ft x 30ft of brambles and nettles using Rosate36 (think super-Roundup, it's the same main chemical [glyphosphate] but much stronger). It's taken 3 lots of spraying over 2 months but almost everything down there is now dead.
Just waiting for the landcapers to come and work their magic now.
I don't think Roundup would be strong enough for the brambles.

Thanks that's very helpful. The area is about 1/2 acre but I don't want to kill all of it because it shelters the hives from storms in the Winter. Will look into these. Thank you again for your advice :-)
