Fireblight

Any ideas on sorting out my fireblighted pyracanthaimage it comes back every year, lm up for trying any ideas you gardeners can offer.?image The worst ones are on north facing fences, the ones on east facing are ok.!

    Prune off all the infected branches 1 foot below where they come out of the stem for the smaller ones and 2 feet below for the larger branches and burn them. The bacteria overwinter in cankers on the bark and are spread by wind-blown rain and insects.

    thanks ladybird4, I didn't want to destroy the whole plants image they've been in for years and cover the 6foot fencing plus the flowers a foot higher. it would be awful to have to dig them out.image
