Hi

just bought a rosa gluca, I know this plant can get big but would it be ok in a large container. Also how much would you prune this rose.

cheers Kevin.

  • Rosa glauca can get quite large 2 metres tall and same across so I would think it would be over happy in a pot. Great rose though and Autumn hips are fantastic. If your pot is really large could be OK for a year or so. Prune as you need to in early spring.

It's a lovely rose. I have one in partial shade in the ground and it does well.it gets big but not too dense.  I agree about the hips, they're lovely and they are very quick to ripen.

    In London. Keen but lazy.
