Diamond Backed Moths : Preventing Attacks

I have several Cabbage and Brussel Sprout plants and am living in Epsom, Surrey.

I read with horror that this country is being invaded by millions of moths (Diamond Backed Moths ?) which all love to eat cabbages and sprouts.

I also read that no known pest spray will get rid of them.

I am thinking of protecting my vegetables with fleece, thus providing a physical barrier between the moth and plant.

I offer this up for the forums consideration !

Chris

I would use micromesh veg netting. Tiny holes that let 95% of light and air through.  I think fleece might cause a humid atmosphere at this time of year, causing fungal problems.
