Perennial overcrowding
I planted some new perennials last year but now they are growing among and overcrowding my existing plants. Is looks nothing like I had planned. Is it ok to lift, separate and replant in June?

You don't really have much choice in the matter. Providing you get up as much of the rootball as possible, then trim back the plants and water well until they are re-established (and pray we don't get a searing heatwave) they should be okay.
Do it in the early morning or evening so they don't have to contend with hot sun straight away.
As long as there not in flower and you water then in well after replanting then you could be OK
