Love it. My verbena still hasn't flowered. South east England. My steeple bush on the other hand has started. What's your lovely purple whirly flower?

My daughter and I spotted a couple of dragonfly nymphs as we were clearing some blanket weed from our pond the other day but didn't manage to get a photo!
Thank you Missy Krissy, and Wayside the purple whirly flower is called Liatris Spicata, it flowers from the top downwards. Common Name: blazing star Type: Herbaceous perennial. The bees just love it.
I thought they could well have been Liatris. I have two but they are always late if at all. I don't think it's wet enough for them on our soil.
