I tried to find this thread using the search the site facility but it didn't come up. Found it by looking back through my posts.

We went to The Old Vicarage, East Ruston, yesterday. Fabulous garden, but I think I'll put it on it's own thread as this one says Sissinghurst, Gt Dixter and Scotney Castle on the top.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I went on an organised coach trip yesterday to Les Jardins Sothys (a beauty cream company), anyway it was beautiful and we had a beautiful day. Didn't take nearly enough pictures as we were following a guide and by the time people got out of the way to make space for pictures I had to run along to catch up. Anyway, despite a bit of a long journey (2 hours) I will be going again as it was really the most beautiful (and peaceful) garden I have visited in France to date, could quite happily have spent the whole day there - lots of little themed sections, all very 'in touch with nature' . Really, really beautiful. image

I hope this link works to the few pictures I did manage to get. Unfortunately they really don't do it justice, the peace and tranquillity was really heavenly (once the coach party had moved on anyway). image
