Shrub ID please

Can anyone tell me what this shrub is please? Flowers unscented, new leaves very yellow, turning greener as they age (don't think it's a soil deficiency).

Don't think it is Viburnum opulus as the flowers of Viburnum are a mix of fertile inner florets and sterile outer florets like a Lacecap hydrangea. Might be Physocarpus opulifolius, an American shrub knowns a Ninebark.

  • That's it Invicta, thank you very much! I must have the Physo.opul. "luteus".

  • Its definately a physocarpus. I have one, "darts gold" but the leaves are a bit more yellow than that. Really pretty shrub.

  • Yes Finchy, it's not Dart's Gold, nowhere near as yellow; I've done a bit more online research, think it must be the ordinary 'Golden Ninebark'. I want to prune it back a little, so have found out when to do that (not yet!).
