I've got Lady of the Lake, Gertrude Jekyll, Boscobel and a non DA called Bridge of Sighs. Couldn't resist the name. I also have one my sister gave me for my birthday but she forgot to put the label in, it looks like it's going to be a light pink colour.
I'm going to get a rose arch and put Crown Princess Margareta up it on both sides. I love that orangey colour.
I've got Gertrude Jekyll too what a powerful perfume it has. I've trained longer stems horizontally along a fence. Claire Austin, lovely myrrh scent , Abraham Darby, an amazingly scented peachy rose, strong grower too, Graham Thomas, not a strong scent but a nice shape flower, Munstead Wood, one of my favourites, I've got two Lady Emma Hamilton's in my front garden, they're pretty special , a climbing Spirit of Freedom, The Generous Gardener, a new one this mother's day just about to bloom. I think that's all my DAs. Then I've got two striped roses, Rosa Mundi, only flowers once but beautiful and Ferdinand Pichard, it does repeat flower. Then I've got Valentine Heart, another favourite bought for a quid yonks ago, climbing Compassion, strong scent ed, Tickled Pink and finally DA Susan William Ellis in a large pot. Phew ..I bet you wish you'd never asked. I saw Bridge of Sighs on another thread and thought how stunning it was. Boscoble is a good colour I've seen it in bloom. I nearly bought Crown Princess Margarita but it grows too tall and wide for where I wanted to grow it , gorgeous colour isn't it?
Lilly your roses sound amazing!!! I'm envious! You've obviously got a large garden to accommodate them I'd have more space it my other half wasn't building a 20ft shed in it!! The front of my house is concrete so there's nowhere in the ground to plant.. The rest of the space in the back along fences is taken up with clematis, honeysuckle, jasmine and I've just bought a wisteria.. Might have to rethink positioning then. My DA has trippled in size already and you're right the flowers are very heavy. My back garden is east facing so I can only really plant down the one side which is south facing. I went a bit crazy when I bought the house and bought too many plants really but I love them all!
