Hi, so excited to have finally been allocated an allotment. Lots of work to do ! There are 4 existing Rhubarb plants with lots of rhubarb to pick which is great, however I've read you should divide these crowns when 3 yrs old to rejuvenate the plant. How can I determine how old they are ?

If the plants are quite big then I would harvest the rhubarb as normal and then later on once the plant has rejuvenated split up with spade and replant with plenty of manure so that it settles in over the winter period ready for next year
