    hi blt sorry bit late in replying b/band  been down  ok now  I have nanntesin  mine are coming on well but my earlys are not far off   (ideal baby s)   2 boxes 1 nannte/ 1 autumn king will try some lates in g/house towards end of year   my good carrots are the ones I can eat just give them a good brush with stiff scrubbing brush under water then pan   Michael

    I left a few in a pot from last year they have run to seed.. seem to be producing a flower and seed heads, interesting to see if I can save the seeds..

    I have a batch of this years in my raised beds, gonna pull a few tomorrow..

    hi all been thinking about pulling some of my ideals baby carrots w/end   been down this morn 6 10am pulled up some garlic and am I pleased if I was clever enough I would put photos on the g/son is to fast for me to follow   I will get there ( I have about 8 rougue pot plants in heap might pull t hem for new spuds )watered then home baths today

    Hi all

    just an update on my carrot project htis year which is going great guns so far.

    I have moved my boxes to more sun at the allotment and the carrots are growing well

    Picture shows growth and improvement and with fingers crossed for a great return if it comes off my production line next year will be stepped up a tad larger

    will keep all updated on the final outcome

    hi chris 72      the raised mesh is a good idea mind them containers are to die for wish I had 1dozen plant all sorts  in them .  my boxes are shop boutght will do but flimsy will try the raised mesh this morning  as we are not going to baths  exercises called of this morn  so a bit more weeding .. them pallets are like my very first garden many  years ago  I used  gypsum 8x4 pnd 4x4 pallets  with road pins  we got cheaper from work at cost it lasted ten years////on another note I was thinking about giving my first carrots  a bit more feed as 2nd carrots are catching up first earlys    keep up good work chris          Michael

    Hi all

    just an update on the carrots which are doing fine see updated picture.

    cannot wait to see if this works out to the end as I am going to multiply boxes in readiness for next years crop

    Hi all

    well back from my hols and time to check the carrots which have been an on going experiment this year

    cover off and let's see what I got

    really pleased another week or so and they go to the table if I can stop eating them at the lottie

    give it a go all out there and hopefully your luck will be like mine

    Well todays the day carrots or bust.........

    Planted since 5th May and i only hope its a good return so lets get started

    Happy with the return, which will go into better successtional planting next year so i have a better collection period.

    Give it a go my testing pilot has worked so roll on next year so will get prepared inadvance
