With me it is the dark green and blue leaves ones that are attacked the most, the lighter coloured ones have escaped very lightly this year!
They have left White Feather and Designer Genes pretty much alone so far, but I do use slug pellets to keep the blighters in check!
As at the moment as we are still in the EU, it is Verboten to chop up slugs or snails, dip them in salt, drown them in weak beer or any other home made way to get rid of them.
The good news is that the EU fully approves of blue slug pellets, not much else they have not removed from amateur use!
I have used slug pellets this year reluctantly and my hostas are thriving. I have 11 hostas in my garden and the all look very healthy so far. Last year was a disaster. I don't want to harm the wildlife and feel guilty of using the pellets.

less attractive, but by no means immune.

JIMMMY give me the rules which forbid chopping dipping etc of slugs as decreed by EU.
Methinks 'tis nonsense.
Dare I say " scaremongering"?

For all my faults one thing I don't do is scaremongering!
Three weekends ago in the weekend Telegraphs gardening section there was quite a long article about slugs and snails, it was all there!
Cheers!
has anyone actually been prosecuted for these offences?
I'd better expect a knock on the door from the Slug Police then - to have my scissors confiscated.....
Sure it wasn't in the Daily Mail JIMMMY?
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Nah!, just after the article about the straight bananas and straight cucumbers, nobody would believe that crap, now would they!
Well this post has taken an unexpected turn....I thought my garden was the one place I could escape from an EU debate!
Since moving the bird feeder closer to my hostas the birds are seemingly hunting around the plants more!
