Hellebore seedlings
Hello everyone, I have some hellebore seedlings that are around 3-4 inches high. i have moved them all into 1 large flowerpot with some fresh compost (about 8 or 9 of them in a 10 inch pot for the moment) What do I do now...Should I put them in the their own small pots and then plant out in sept or october or are they best to be put in the ground now? will they flower this winter or do they take a couple of years to get going? Many thanks

They need one pot each, preferably taller than wide as they like a deep root run. I would use pots 10cm wide and 20cm deep. Use a free draining compost, or add grit to MPC. Grow on in a shaded area for the summer.Plant late autumn in final position.
Thanks Fidgetbones. Thats great advice. Will get on with that once the rain has buggered off! I have a few more plant questions that I will ask later on - questions I've been meaning to ask for a while - perhaps while this rain is persisting I will make good use of the time
thanks again!
