For someone else who recently found this growing between paving. I've had a look around but need help please. Thanks for any help

    Use the camera icon at the right of the typing box.  You can't paste images into posts.

    I believe it has self-seeded, as friend says these plants were purchased for containers last summer and this has just been spotted. She can't remember the name and now can't find anywhere. So many summer bedders. Lovely leaf.

  • I think it may be a type of persicaria? Probably quite a vigorous spreader if it is.

    Fantastic! Persicaria capitata, I think, having looked at a few images. Thank you so much. I used to enjoy using a gardening forum when the BBC ran one a while ago and this is my first time since it was finished. I'll be back. Thanks again.
