I believe it has self-seeded, as friend says these plants were purchased for containers last summer and this has just been spotted. She can't remember the name and now can't find anywhere. So many summer bedders. Lovely leaf.

I think it may be a type of persicaria? Probably quite a vigorous spreader if it is.
