Honeysuckle - have I got my planting right?
Hi everyone,
Having spent the last few days looking for 3 good quality Honeysuckle Halliana and failing miserably, this aft I decided I was sick to the back teeth of staring at 3 empty flower beds and planted 3 Honeysuckle Henryi instead.
So, looking at the below pictures, have I got my planting right with regards to angle of the plant.
I wasn't sure if I should go straight up or like I have done, at an angle pointing towards the trellis?

plants look good, the only thing i might add is could you fix your trellis onto a couple of wood battons top and bottom so the trellis sits 2 or 3 inches off the fence, that will give the honeysuckle & you room to entwine it it into the trellis & also give the plant good air circulation in preventing disease
Thanks Chloe
Hi sanjy...I found out yesterday that I needed batons after planting up, so I hastily popped some in
But, after reading your post I think I need to add some more, another baton width should give me about 2 inches away from the fence, which will hopefully be enough.

No offence sheps but you're so neat and tidy you give me the complete pip!!!

You know that honeysuckle isn't going to grow in a straight line don't you????
How you ever snuck onto the GoS defeats me. Oh that's right....I held you up as an example of gardening lovliness!

That's alright PP, I'm dedicating a special area of the garden to the GoS
Re the Honeysuckle, I'll make it grow in straight lines, you just watch me!!!
