I had huge daisies in my garden years ago and thought they would be lovely cut flowers. I had to throw them out they were so smelly!

  • I had them in my old garden and not knowing the name of them (bought them before they flowered) I've gone and planted them here as well now image

  • Thanks nutculet and plant pauper, not just me then image

I think they're lovely and they're fine in the garden...not too close to the house image But keep an eye on them. They have roots like ropes and I suspect they might have thuggish tendancies! image

  • Thank you for that, they're in a pot with other things and I think they maybe robbing the water so when they've flowered I may throw them. Do you know the name shasta or oxeye? Can't post pic as I have to go out soon.

    See original post

Mayweed is sometimes called 'Stinky Willy'.  It's a rather pretty wildflower.  Pollinating insects love it; That's probably what you are referring to.

Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
