roses from Rumwood Nursery

just bought two 'madame alfred carriere' from Rumwood nursey based in kent & just wanted to mention the excellent plants and quick delivery, i ordered them on the monday night 9pm, they were delivered by wednesday lunchtime in 4ltr pots, large plants with buds (bonus) and emails to say they had a) received my order b) they were processing my order c) that my order was shipped, i had said they could leave them in the porch if i was out but as i was in i didn't need to sign for them as i had instructed them to leave them, they were in good sturdy boxes with planting instructions & receipt. they cost me £11.25 each with £8.95 for delivery of both but this still worked out cheaper than anywhere else on the net, so i am extremely pleased and will order again from them in the future.

just thought i would pass on my experience for others looking to buy roses or peonies & they sell hedging, i didn't buy peony or hedging so can't speak for those image

I too bought from Rumwood earlier in the year. I ordered a common moss rose on a damp February afternoon and it arrived two days later. Its grown a lot and has just started to produce blousy, scented blooms.

I also had an excellent service from Rumwood Nursery recently and I don't exactly live anywhere near Kent. I ordered the old China rose - 'Old Blush China'. Only website I could find it containerised. I ordered on a Sunday night too and it was with me by I think a Tuesday. It was very good. The rose was in such good, fresh condition, really well packed and I was very happy. It was as described in all the literature about this famous rose - the first rose of summer. I want to order Ingrid Bergman from them next!
