Tortured Willow

imageimage

My tortured willow that I have had a number of years in garden is sadly only producing leaves on one branch and that is only very slowly. It would normally have flourished fully by now. Any suggestions, guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks very much.

if you can cut it back to above the graft point it might come back, but contorted willows usually only have a short lifespan.

  • Thanks will try that! Any other suggestions would be great!

  • Is there perhaps a way of getting a cutting and what would be the best way of doing it?

you can try and take a cutting from the branch that's growing, put in a bucket of water and it'll sprout roots, once they are about 4 inches long put it in a pot with some decent compost and plant out in autumn.
