Plum tree leaves turning brown

Help! Leaves on my worcestershire dropper (3 years old and a beautiful crop last year) are turning brown on one edge. That bit shrivels and the leaf then drops off. At the moment the tree itself looks ok and is growing new shoots, but the number of leaves affected is growing.

Yes, it's true we did have, but several weeks ago. Not on the last week or so.
Thank you! Just looks so sad... Yes there is some shot hole too. Hopefully it will recover.
