Scariad fly larvae

I have a trough with drooping, then dying, plants(sweet pea and poached egg). Taking one or two out I find tiny, tiny white worm/caterpillar like creatures. The only thins I think they can be are scariad fly larvae (maybe wrong but) does anyone have any suggestions for killing the little blighters.
