Elephant garlic
in Fruit & veg
Hello everyone,
I've grown elephant garlic once and only managed to get a couple of medium sized bulbs.
Attempt 2. Here they are now. The leaves are starting to turn yellow, i've removed the top of the flower spikes as soon as they appeared. Do i leave them like that until the foliage die down and harvest (keeping my fingers crossed), or do they need feeding, mulching, watering, something else?
thank you

Looks fine to me, where you from? They look almost ready to harvest.
Thank you James. I'm in Essex. I'm not sure when is the right time to harvest. Should the leaves die back completely? Sorry for the stupid question, my last allium experience ended up with rust disaster...
I'm in Essex too and yours look better than mine but they were not Elephantas I thought that variety was for continents warmer than our. I never could get the bulbs big enough but they tasted fine..
