Agapanthus

I have a very large Agapanthus in a big pot.

It looks very healthy and has grown lots of leaves in spring as usual, but there are no flowers coming( no buds) at all.

Normally it has 12 - 14 flower stalks, but this year not a single one.

 A smaller plant which I grew from seed has already 3 stalks.

Any ideas what could be the reason??

    Patience.....it's still early.  I live in southern England and the buds have only started appearing in the past week or so.

    Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

    Mine haven't started yet either but have loads of leaves and they are very reliable.
