Both my gooseberry and redcurrant bushes have been badly attacked by these pests they have just about stripped the redcurrant bush bare the fruit is still there,I have sprayed them but yesterday with bug fighter but there seemed to be some left,the fruit is still hanging will it be alright. Peter

Hi Peter. You will need to check the label on the bug killer. Personally I would not spray an edible crop.
