Disease on my phygelius

Hi,

Plant is 'phygelius funfare'. The leave are going crusty and brown, starting on the outer edge and moving in. I can't see any bugs. I don't seem to be able to attach pics! Can anyone suggest what is wrong and what can I do about it?!

    Are the affected leaves new growth or last year's? I prune back to about 8 inches in the spring.

    Last year's growth. Although I think it might be starting on the new growth now (I'll check when it's light). Probably late to be pruning now? Or maybe I should cut back all the affected areas?!

    I would cut them back and feed it.

    Thanks. I cut them back. And will now know for next year!
