Hi there. They look just like ordinary strawberries to me therefore they are edible. I would eat them.
They're strawberries,
There are no blue strawberries with photoshop or similar. One of many on line scams
In the sticks near Peterborough
thanks for the replys id never heard of or seen any blue strawberrys when i bought them so thought id plant them and see what happened didnt think id get blue strawberrys worth a try
mmmm think ill have to taste them
I complained to eBay about the weird non existent flowers and veg being sold from China, but nothing is done about it.
yeah ur never sure what seeds ur getting from china through ebay at least mine have grown better than nothing after my efforts
I believe that China also has that rarity of rarities - a black rose - oh and don't forget the psychedelic multi coloured roses too.
Never heard of Blue strawberries either.. But if you look at a so called Black tulip sold in Amsterdam flower market.. once you grow it you will see its not black but a deep purple and they got away with that one...

Are they allowed to sell and send seeds from places outside of Europe ? I thought they would of been some restrictions in regards to the possibility of invasive species being freely spread.
Surely eBay must know they're fake too.
no restrictions on seeds as far as i know i have ordered plenty oh yes also ordered rainbow roses out of curiosity they have grown into huge rose plants no flowers of yet
Seeds are, interesting a bit of a vague topic for customs when importing from China if a quick hunt around their website is to believe.
What would be sensible should you care about the local ecology enough to want to take active steps to avoid bringing in a potential threat is to ask for a Phytosanitary Certificate. These are used to ensure that plants are free from pest and disease and do cover seeds as well.
Unfortunately I think most ebayers are there for cheap deals (and fairy tale plants if what we are seeing is true) and suppliers will be making the most of this opportunity so certificates might not always be easy to access (or even legitimate if one is produced).
