Couch Grass??
Hi reseeded lawn back in April and i have a few spots that look like couch grass popping up.
As ive still got a few bare spots that i was planning on reseeding this weekend will i be able to spray weed killer over the garden?? will it affect the new seeds?

Couch grass needs to be dug out and a lawn weed killer will not be able to differ between couch and healthy lawn. If you only have small areas to remove then dig it out , roots and all and reseed or re turf
Thanks I'm finding it all over the garden in patches, I've been pulling it out but from what I've read about the stuff is its a pain to get rid of.
Would weed & feed help?
Actually couch grass is pretty simple to get rid of if you use one those weed sticks. You let it grow to about 4 inches which doesn't take long, gather it in your hand and paint it with the gel. Works every time. And when it's dead the other grasses take over and fill the gap.
I've been out ripping up half the garden lol it seems to be everywhere
I wouldn't say it an easy weed to remove because if you leave any roots in th ground it will regrow. You need to remove all of the plant including as much of its roots as possible.
Weed and feed possibly will not cure it. Its a pain but depending how much of your lawn is infiltrated then you make consider replacing the complete lawn IMO
Well I've been out again this morning and its looking like its all over the garden!! Can i just check that this is defiantly couch grass im pulling up here lol
I'd say it's not couch. More like grass forming taller clumps than needed for a lawn.
This is about the only time you need a garden roller.
Failing that. walk all over it keeping your feet really close together, like a duckwalk, as you might have done when you firmed the ground before sowing.
This will enduce "tillering" which is when the grass shoots from the root and doesn't form the little "trunks" you're getting on your clumps.
Ahhh great so ive ripped clumps out my lawn and its not couch grass
Its not nice stuff to walk barefoot over
