Hi
i have a Papaver commutatum 'Ladybird'Oriental poppy in my garden in a planter which I got from a garden centre .How do I get it to flower continually through out the summer .Do I dehead like my other bedding plants ,also how do I get the seeds .thanks for any info

Hi Ann. Oriental poppies do not repeat flower so if you want seeds you need to leave the flowers on. The whole plant will die back in Summer so the poppy should have something planted in front of it to hide the dying foliage.

thank you for the info I saw on the net that they flower continually throughout the summer so thought that would be by deheading .
