Geranium Flowers

Why do my geranium flower stems wither before they flower.  The leaves are really strong and look healthy but the flower heads seem to grow so far the shrivel up.

    Im not very good with technology  (2 posts is proof ?) so I don't think a photo will happen. The flower stem seems to grow and the buds an

    Told you I wasn't good with technology! The stem starts growing then the buds and the stem seem to dry out. I've just noticed another flower stem growing and it looks good. I wonder if the plant wasn't well cared for before I bought it?

    Are there any signs of mould anywhere on the stems or the plant?

    They don't like damp conditions or to have their roots wet for a prolonged period
