Plant identification

Marina1Marina1 Posts: 16

Hi everyone.  Last summer I planted a packet of either foxglove or hollyhock seeds. I ended up with 100's if not 1000's  of plants.  In despair I placed them all in my raised bed and this year this is what I've got growing.

are the plants hollyhock or foxglove does anybody know? Also when will they appear to look like a foxglove or a hollyhock.

Im a beginner can you tell?

Hi Marina. All those white flowers are campion. I cannot actually see either foxgloves or hollyhocks there. The campion belongs to the Silene family and they are prolific seeders.

Congrats - you have some very strong and sturdy plants there.
However.... they're not foxgloves or hollyhocks as far as I can tell, so I doubt they will ever look like either.
I don't know what they are, but I'm sure some helpful folk here will soon advise.

I think that's a crucifer, 4 petals, not white campion. It has the look of a gone to seed radish

But not hollyhock or foxglove either

They look like my rocket plants when they've gone to flower.  Good in salads but the leaves are tough by this phase so pick carefully.
