Do you think it is too late to pop some sweet corn seeds in the veg patch?

Last year I sowed them in pots early in the year but wasn't well enough to get out into the garden sooner so just wondered about this, I am in the SE. Thanks.

If you have some seed lurking around and the space for them, I would say yes give it a go.... It is late but if we get some decent weather they may well ripen. Worth the gamble imo. Good luck. image

  • Right well I popped them in and will hope for the best, thank you for the replies. Last year I had a lovely crop but had sowed them in pots in the greenhouse fairly early.

The seeds I popped straight in the veg patch were those left over from last year.

I also sowed a few left over courgettes in pots in the greenhouse although I may be pushing my luck, who knows? Will try to keep you posted!

They're not too bad, and I love the look, mine were the same size as yours, planted last summer, so the spread is at a nice gradual pace image
