    an aconitum, probably Aconitum napellus

    Nice one, my aconitums always fall over

    Aconitum - very beautiful and good for bumblebees.   Won't get eaten by slugs and snails.

    Like digitalis (foxgloves) it is toxic to humans so make sure you wash your hands after handling it or wear gloves.  No need to panic.  Lots of common garden plants are toxic and I have brought up my daughter safely with loads of these in the garden.
