  • Brilliant, thanks for such a quick and knowledgeable response.  Never seen this plant before so have now looked it up  on on RHS web site.

    Its called "Aunt May" or Sisyrinchium striatum

    Pleased that it just appeared - so a freebie from Mother nature - ain't life wonderful
