bare patches in lawns
Just wanted to say a heartfelt 'thankyou' to Monty on his excellent tip! i.e. sowing grass into seed trays to transplant when grown to fill easily and quickly those bare patches.. Having spent the last 3 months partitioning off sections of lawn to stop my dogs from destroying any more after our very, very wet winter. Now I will never have to do that again!! Hurrah! Very happy lady!

It was a why did I never think of that moment
The only things I pull out of my 'lawn' are plantains, dandelions and those things with the pretty orange flowers so I doubt I'd actually use the tip!
I'm going to use it right now!
I have cow hoof prints from last year and I'm going out to kill the other bit with 4in1. I don't watch GW, can't stand it and extra can't stand MD, but thanks Frances for passing on his top tip.
I have planted grass seed in seed trays and that works if you have got a larger area to cover.
There aren't enough seed trays in the world but I'll make a start.
