I wish it was invasive in my garden. I put a clump in 4 years ago and although it flowers every year it hasn't spread nor even thickened up into a sturdier clump. It's a pale pink variety with darker leaves, I've not seen the lighter leaved one as shown above, think I need to pop out to the garden centre !

Japanese anemone for me as well, pretty but invasive.

It's the pale pink one I've got, tried to move it but it keeps popping up again. I'm on very free draining soil so maybe that's it.
There are quite a few varieties and colours, a dwarfing one was at Chesea last year called white swan but I've not seen it anywhere to buy.
Chrissy - they don't tend to be invasive here - wet clay soil. Even when it's improved it's not an issue.
I only grow the white ones - Whirlwind is nice as it's semi double
