Raspberry plant

Hi, I bought a raspberry plant and have it on the patio - south facing. In the last week or so, the leaves are turning a silver colour and are drying up/shrivelling. What is the cause and can I do anything to save the plant?
I'm watering it regularly and it has no obvious signs of infestation - although I am a complete novice, so might have missed something!

Put it in the shade. It will have an underdeveloped root system and cannot draw up water fast enough in sunlight.
