Acuba

B3B3 Posts: 27,504

I am in the process of getting rid of several acuba.

I have separated the softer bits and leaves from the woody bits.

Will the leaves and soft twigs compost down in a reasonable time or should I put them in the brown compost bin along with the woody bits?

In London. Keen but lazy.

Hi they will break down but it depends how quickly you want the compost. You could always brown bin the thicker woody bits and compost the rest.

I'm not in any rush. Are we talking about more than one year?

Weather conditions permitting - its good to have warm weather to speed the process - then it should break down in a year. Keep turning the compost heap to aerate it.
