Novice gardener with pest issues
Hi I'm a bit lost as to what actions to take with my pest issues. I could really do with a dummies guide if anyone is willing to help.
I have aphids on my apple tree which is going into it's third year, and by the looks of it so does my neighbour (her trees are on the other side of the fence close to mine). I think it is both Rosy and Wooly aphids as there are pale aphids and ants on the leaves, which are curling, and small white flying bugs when I disturb the tree.
I also have greenfly or aphids on a small patio rose along with blackspot.
What can I do to tackle this?
Thanks for any help you can give.

The ants are 'farming' the aphids for their sugary excretions and carrying them to vulnerable fresh new leaves. Get a grease band to wrap around the trunk which will prevent the ants climbing up it. Try using a spray attachment on a hose to blast off the existing aphids.
