These are Greenfly on my blueberry right?

Before I go removing them, may as well be certain this is what they are, and how harmful are they exactly?

Yes, definitely aphids.  Try blasting them off with the hose unless your blueberries have flowers or developing fruit which may be damaged by a jet of water.  Alternatively, use a hand spray with a couple of drops of washing-up liquid in water - this will drown them.  Don't be tempted to use any commercial pesticide sprays on edible crops.  If left they will damage the young growth which is what will be providing your fruit next year so they do need removing.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

thanks, I removed/crushed them by glove. Checked underneath the new leaves where they seemed to also be heading and scraped them away from there. This is on a 7th floor balcony. I'm guessing they came with the plant (bought a couple of weeks ago in the garden centre) so I should be ok for the next wee while. I'm away for the rest of the month.
