My grass seed starts to grow quickly but when it reaches about 1cm it stops growing.
I have also tried patch magic and this does the same.
Hope you can help.

Have you dug down a little way to see what's underneath? There could be a rogue weed sheet or something else which would limit the grass' root.
I dug down about 3 inches then added new soil then seeded.
There is 3 areas all about the size of a dinner plate.
I was thinking it might be too much rain.
