Identify plant please

image

Hi, a friend has asked me if i know this plant - I don't, so does anyone know what this plant is? It appears up between the patio flag stones, it doesn't seem to flower (in the conventional sense). she lives in the south west, the patio is very sheltered & sunny, the soil is acid.

Many thanks

It is a type of annual euphorbia. Caper spurge. Euphorbia lathyris. The flowers are tiny and have the large winged bracts around them. The sap will cause photosensitisation of the skin... skin will burn on exposure to sunlight where the sap has touched. Use gloves to remove it.

There won't be lots of helpful people here this weekend. I'm joining the others , 48 hour embargo supporting pansyface.

  • Thanks a lot image...I will warn her about the sap issue
