Re: rock dust. If it is stopping slugs, it must be because the particles have sharp edges. If this is true, then surely it cannot be improving the mineral content of the soil, for which it needs to dissolve.

yes the rockdust does dissolve in time but it is a trial ,and at the moment as photos of hosta it as worked for myself so I will continue and let the forum know of the overhaul outcome, it is the first year I have used rock dust so early days

Has anyone grown Meconopsis punicea?
It is a rare, red, and very beautiful species.
Seed is scarce, and I have never been able to source fresh seed, which is supposed to be essential for growth.
