Why have leaves gone brown
why have the beautiful silvery leaves of my athyrium gone brown? Could it be wind burn? Thanks, Fiona

Are these new leaves that have grown this year, or last year's leaves?

It's a plant I recently bought. Looked good until a few days ago.
I have several of these ferns - I keep them in a shady spot - has yours been in bright sunlight?
Alternatively had it been kept in a sheltered/mild/protected spot and now it is in a more exposed site?

Wasn't in a particularly sunny spot but I've had it for a couple of weeks and haven't planted it yet. may have let it get a bit dry in pot. Also live on horrendously windy hillside. are you on Instagram-would live to see pictures of your ferns in situ?
Sorry getting an early night. Setting off on our holiday 5am! :-)

Hope you have a good hol ??
Fiona, I have one in a pot in a semi-shaded position and 2 small ones in a windy exposed area (SW Scotland). I would give it a good soak and into a larger pot.
Ok thanks. I'll give that a go and hopefully the beautiful silvery colour will be restored. So wind doesn't seem to affect the colouring it seems. Ta for advice.
