Forgot something else.  Wonky I have Windows 10 on my laptop and when I right click and select Edit I get a button on the top right hand side that says enhance.  If I click on it and save the photo it reduces the size dramatically the following photo was almost 5mb, after enhancing it reduced to 1.something.

Cheers Pansy Face, not understanding what was happening I joined the rest and stayed off line, still you are back and deservedly so.

As to the other matter when it happened to me two years ago I put myself in the hands of the wonderful NHS and let them get on with it, the last scan a month back said all clear, when in a situation you can do nothing about let those who can do it for you. Good luck.

    Frank.

I know PP I'm going with a friend who isn't what you would call a gardener but does enjoy browsing round gardens.  We are also taking in Pashley and Merriment?, they were recommended by people on here.  I want to pop into Hastings and Rye too, so it will be a busy four days.

Can't afford to do it in style so we found a really cheap B&B which will, I am sure, be fine.

It's quite a drive from here but luckily my friend enjoys driving so I will be able to relax.  I'll take photos and post them.

Hello again everyone.  Thanks for all the compliments. I'm now a bit embarrassed. It was because Hosta said he would like to see some of my paintings.  I'm not particularly talented, at least compared with some of my fellow students in Melbourne. The classes were held at the Botanic Gardens, so we had a nice environment to work in.

my smileys have disappeared again, so smiles to all.

Yvie - that's interesting that your photo resizing works differently. I also have Windows 10 but all my photos go straight into the Windows Photo Library. That's where I right click and it brings up all the options. I just resize to 'large' and it makes them all around 1MB or thereabouts. It was so much easier when we had the external site. I just moved the pix I wanted - whatever the size was, it worked. I dare say I'll get used to  it, but I find the pic size very small when I click on the camera, so I have to view, choose and edit everything on Windows first so that I can upload the resized ones image

Hope you have a lovely time garden visiting

Stopped en route yesterday for a pic of 'The Bookil'  - you can see all four summits along the ridge.

T'bird - this IS our summer - straight from winter, and better than a lot of summer weather we usually get too!

Too hot for digging and constructing of 'stuff' which is what I'm supposed to be doing image

I might do some painting and sow some basil and lettuce as I've not got round to that yet.

    Lovely Fg.

I did a winter ascent, when I was younger, fitter, and far less fat. I think it is a lovely mountain, and when I see it from the road, I always think I am in the Highlands, and have broken the back of the journey.

Both of the Bookils were looking very bonny yesterday doc. I'm not brave enough to do a winter ascent up Stob Dearg though! I intended stopping on the way back out Glen Etive to get the pic of them both from the back end, but I missed the chance. Could have got one on the way down the hill too and I regret not doing it. I know what you mean about it being the 'gateway' to the Highlands. I suppose it's because you have so many hills so near the road. All the Orchy hills and the Etive hills looked great too, coming back down from the high bit of Rannoch Moor.

Did get some of the two deer I startled out of the bracken though - I'll sort them later and put them on David's Camera thread. They turned out quite well. image

My lord Pat you drew those yourself?? I thought they were some famous artist you were looking at. They're seriously impressive I love the detailing!

5 mile walk with the hound done so he'll be happy now. Just need to get the marathon washing session done and try to go shopping. I shall leave the cutting lawn until tomorrow as I already feel like I could fall over!
